Our Kind Club is holding a toiletry drive for Oishei Children's Hospital this week and next! Send in toiletry items with your Fricano student from 12/4-12/12.

Mrs. Bryer's kindergarteners have been working hard identifying, sorting, and comparing 2D and 3D shapes. Look at these mathematicians go!

Both Mrs. Wilkinson's and Mrs. Krawczyk's classes learned about short o in words today. These first graders did a wonderful job both decoding and encoding new words!

Mrs. Puff worked with second graders coding and algorithms today in library tech! The students know that the algorithm is the specific detailed steps of what to do. The students applied this knowledge as they followed specific steps to make a snowman on their chromebooks!

Happy Thanksgiving #OneStarpoint

We had a great Turkey Trot despite the rain! Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We will see you back on Monday 11/27 after Thanksgiving break.

Mrs. Rohloff's 2nd graders made some turkey potatoes this week. They shared they are thankful for their school, friends, and family!

Many of our first grade classes read "Balloons over Broadway" and discussed the history of the Thanksgiving Parade. Then, they had their own balloon parade! Thank you families for collaborating on this project. They had a blast 🎈

There was some great small group learning on pajama day today! Miss DeMarco's first graders worked hard on their phonemic awareness and phonics and Mrs. Russo's second graders worked on applying their skills to fluently read and understand a new text!

Miss Watson's kindergarteners have been working hard on their phonological awareness! This week, they played a game where they matched initial sounds of pictures to letters. Great work kindergartens!

Don't forget to send in peanut butter and/or jelly for our PB and J drive as part of our Turkey Trot!

We had a full school assembly today focusing on how we can be kind, respectful, responsible, and safe. Our PBIS bees helped us understand the importance of these expected behaviors! They read the book "Have You Filled a Bucket Today" and we came up with ways to be bucket fillers

Mrs. Fuqua and Mrs. Mikulski's 2nd graders worked hard on comparing numbers today. Look at these mathematicians go!

Mrs. Estrada's 2nd graders worked on strategies to help them follow directions quickly during transitions today. They used the game "kerplunk" to help them visually see why this is important. As students show they can meet this goal, they will add their name to the thankful tree!

What a great Friday. Our varsity football team played their hearts out. Our cross-country team won sectionals. Oh yeah, & RIS students through their positive behavior earned a giant pumpkin drop…
