Ms. Passanese has been employed at Starpoint School District as a school counselor since August 1999. During Ms. Passanese's first year in the district, she worked with the ninth grade students as well as with all students in grades seven through twelve with a special education program. The following year, she transitioned to her current position in the middle school. 

Ms. Passanese received a Bachelor of Art's Degree from the State University of New York at Fredonia with a major in psychology and a minor in sociology. She continued her education at Niagara University where she earned a Master's of Science in Education with a concentration in school counseling, an advanced certificate in school counseling, and a School Administrator and Supervisor Certification.

Before Ms. Passanese came to work at Starpoint, she was employed for five years in the City of Niagara Falls School District. She spent one year as a substitute teacher until she was appointed as a Pupil Service Assistant in an elementary school the following year. Further, she was an adjunct professor at Niagara University from 2015-2018.
