This past Tuesday, with a score of 7-0, your Spartan field hockey team led an offensive victory against Will South. Goals were scored by Tess Brennan, two goals scored by Paige Beutler with assists from Brooklyn Dean and Tess Brennan, Lily Laraba, Karatn Totten, and the other two goals were scored by Savannah Jones with assists from Lily Laraba and Paige Beutler. Cece Weller and Maddie LaDuca were swiss army knives moving to all different positions on the field with great success. The record this season was 7 wins, 2 losses and 1 tie. Great job!

Your boys modified volleyball team finished off the season with a sweep of Williamsville East, winning 4 - 1. Leading the way all season were captains Mason Milleville and Tyler Pearson whose leadership led to the boys finishing with an impressive record of 10 wins and 4 losses. Excellent season boys!
On Friday the Boys Modified soccer team ended their season with a 3-0 win against Sweethome. Goals were scored by Griffin Proefrock and Jenson Cook who had two. Griffin and Jenson were also named the players of the game. Dreighton Flower had one assist and Mason Phipps had 2. Jackson Schwallie and Patrick Welka split the shut -out in goal. Nick Federico, Kaden Geffers, Casimir Hamilton, Ryan Harding, Josh Maloney and Jack Taylor all played well for the Spartans. The boys final record was 7, 2 and 2 Congratulations on an awesome season,
Your Spartan Field Hockey team beat Pioneer 3-2 on Friday. With 30 seconds left on the clock, Molly Zoladz scored the third goal to bring us the victory. Ellie Powers also scored the second goal to get us tied. Goalie Ava Gutillo kept Pioneer at bay in the circle, and Maddie Illenz had a great showing as flyer for a defensive corner. Brooklyn Dean made some of the most important stops of the game. Our last game of the season is tomorrow at Will South. Wish us luck!

Congratulations to the girls modified volleyball team on a fantastic season!! They finished with an overall record of 14 wins and 0 losses. The girls had two solid wins last night beating Frontier and Newfane to finish the season. Great job girls!!

Yesterday the boys modified soccer team tied Williamsville South 1 to 1. Jaxson Giovie had the only goal for the Spartans. Jackson Schwalie had 8 saves in goal. Matt Mielcarek, Nick Federico, Dreighton Fowler, Mason Phipps, Jack Taylor and Casimir Hamilton all played well for the Spartans.
Your modified football team closed out their season with a 34-0 win over Lake Shore. Evan Zgoda, Gabe Gulino and Cody Schmidt all scored Touch Downs for Starpoint. Cody and Noah Heim connected on a great pass for a touchdown. Cody aired one out to Lucas Wollaber on a spectacular over the shoulder catch in the endzone. Cody also had a goal line QB keep for another 6 points. Great game play from our Offensive and Defensive lines as well. Congratulations boys!

The girls modified soccer team won their game against Amherst last night 4-1. All four goals were scored by Rilee Prokopich. Great efforts were made by Mari Kuriscak, Izabella Scott and amazing goalkeeping by Matianne Smider.
Congratulations to our JV Spartan Cheerleaders who took 1st place at the Iroquois Red Hawk Cheer Challenge last night! The girls scored their highest score yet! Wish them good luck as they prepare to compete this Sunday at their final competition! Let’s go Spartans!

Yesterday at Gowanda County Club the host site of this years boys golf ECICs, Starpoint was well represented with six players from the year including middle schooler Dylan Cyrek. Congratulations boys and great season!
Yesterday the Boys modified soccer team tied Williamsville South 2 to 2. The defensive player of the game was Jackson Schwallie in goal with 10 saves, one that he made with his face. Dreighton Fowler was the offensive player of the game with one goal. Jaxson Giovie scored the other goal for the Spartans off of an assist from Ryan Harding. Nick Federico, Ben Gotowko and Matt Mielcarek all played well for the Spartans. Come support us tomorrow at 5:00 for our last home game.
Last evening, your Varsity Spartan Spikers turned back the clock on the Williamsville South (Billy) Goats, winning a thrilling five set victory on the road, and sending the Billy Goats out to pasture. Clutch performances were delivered by 8th grader Jayden Zawada, who spotted the Spartans a 9 - 0 lead in the third set from the service line. The Boys hope you are available tomorrow night to bid farewell to this season's seniors on Senior night.

The Middle School raised over $1800.00 for youth-based programs in Niagara County. On Saturday the boys modified soccer team defeated Hamburg by a score of 1-0 in the second period of overtime. Jenson Cook had the lone goal for the Spartans & was named offensive player of the game; off a cross from Griffin Profrock who picked up the assist with 45 seconds remaining in the game. The defensive player of the game was Jack Taylor. Patrick Welka had the shut out in goal. Key players for the Spartans were: Nick Federico, Ben Gotowko, Casimir Hamilton, Easton Holler and Jaxson Rosner.

Your Spartan Field Hockey team traveled to Eden Saturday and won 2-1 on Eden's home turf. Both goals were scored by Lily Laraba. First assist by Paige Beutler, second assist by Savanna Jones. Lyla Cantanese, Molly Zoladz, Julia Plewinski, and Ava Gutillo were the defensive wall that kept Eden to only one goal. It was a whole team effort, great job! Reminder, practice is cancelled for today.

The girls modified volleyball team defeated SweetHome yesterday 5 games to 0. Natalia D’Aloise, Lyla Kantor, and Claire Taylor served outstanding for the Spartans. Lily Bathory, Aneah Davison, and Maddie Wollaber made some excellent plays scoring many points. Great job girls!
Yesterday our boys modified soccer team handed Amherst their first loss of the season defeating the tigers 1 to 0. Dreighton Fowler scored the lone goal of the game. The players of the game were Nick Federico and Griffin Proefrock. Jackson Schwallie gets the shutout in goal with 8 saves. Ben Gotowko, Ryan Harding, Josh Maloney, Casimir Hamilton and Jack Taylor all had an outstanding game. Congratulations on a great win.
Yesterday the Cross Country team traveled to Clarence. In the boy's 8th-grade race, Cashel McCaffery placed 5th out of 78 runners. Carmelo Giglia and Lucas Diel placed in the top 20. Noah Kessler and Elijah Manning-Robinson had season-best times.In the girl's race, Camilla Rosenburg had a season-best time. Great season everyone!!!!!

Your lady Spartan field hockey team won 2-1 at Amherst. The first goal was scored by Ellie Powers with an assist by Lily Laraba. Our second goal was scored by Paige Beutler with an assist by Ellie Powers. Goalie Maddie Illenz made some fantastic saves, and our defense kept the ball out of our circle. Savanna Jones played a great defensive midfield. Ava Gutillo, Tess Brennan, and Mia Miller worked together as a midfield squad. We have a home game today at 5:00 p.m. come cheer on your field hockey team!

Congratulations to the girls modified volleyball team for a 5 game sweep of Hamburg last Friday. Natalie Hinsken, Allie Ely, Bella Lopardi, abs Norah Lowry served amazing for the Spartans. Kylie Pecaroro, Emily Belter, and Brielle Roy made some great plays on the courtroom help in the win. Cali Hodge and Lily Lalka were on fire at the net. Great job girls!
On Saturday, the Cross-Country team traveled to compete in the Alden Invitational. In the boys' 7th and 8th grade race, Cashel McCaffery placed 5th out of 152 runners. Andrew Birmingham, Lucas Diel, and Tyce Cormier all had season-best times. In the girl's 7th and 8th grade race, Izabelle Roller placed in the top 20 out of 132 runners.

The girls modified soccer team won their game against Sweethome last night 8-1. Goals were scored by Rilee Prokopich, Violet Whitehead, Chloe Tavernier, Lily Brock, Layla Deville, Matianne Smider and Zoe Samuel. Great assists were made by Marianna Kuriscak and Riley Tatar. The girls face Hamburg today 5:15 at home.
Your Spartans came home victorious with 14-0 shut out to extinguish the Williamsville East Flames.
Noah Heim tallied two rushing TDs bulldozing his way over the goal line, while Nicky Castigilone added with thunderous PATs kicks. Great win and let’s go Spartans!

In the girls' 8th grade race, Camille Rosenburg placed 4th with a season-best time. In the girls' 6th grade race, Izabelle Roller placed 4th, and Clara Wendt had a season-best time.

Our Middle School has partnered with the United Way to support their Change for Change program. Homerooms will compete against one another to raise the most money, with the top homeroom at each grade earning a donut treat. This fundraiser ends tomorrow, so bring in your spare and loose change before it’s too late. All of the money we raise will go towards programs in Niagara County that help children and families.

Your lady Spartan field hockey team had a dominant performance at Pioneer yesterday. The offense sliced through their defenses. Our goal was scored by Paige Beutler with the assist by Ellie Powers. The defense held Pioneer at only 1 goal, with Julia Plewinski keeping their forwards at bay and Maddie Illenz in goal. Tess Brennan, Savanna Jones, Ava Gutillo, and Lily Laraba were a midfield powerhouse supporting the team. Great job Ladies!
Congratulations to the JV and Varsity cheerleading teams who both placed 1st in their divisions at the Orchard Park Cheerleading Competition last night. Both teams were in tough divisions with 5 teams and came out on top! Congratulations Spartans!
The girls JV soccer team defeated Lakeshore yesterday! Ana Kowalewski led the team with 2 goals and 1 assist. Anna Wollaber had 1 goal and 1 assist. Safiya (sah-fee-ya) Rizek and Emma Full had 1 goal each. Mckenna Evchich and Emma Bathory worked hard on defense to secure a shutout! Congrats!

The boys golf team finished the season with a win over Amherst 234-253 closing out the season 8-2. The boys modified soccer team had a great game defeating Sweethome on Saturday. Jaxon Giove had a hat trick and was the offensive player of the game. The other goals were scored by Dreighton Flower and Jenson Cook. Patrick Welka was the defensive player of the game with a shutout in goal. Ben Gotowko and Matt Mielcarek both had an assist. Jack Taylor, Nick Federico, Jaxson Rosner and Josh Maloney all played well for the Spartans.

Hello, our names are Connie Case, Jenson Cook, and Madelyn Lee, and we are in the National Junior Honors Society. This year Starpoint middle school is working with United way. To raise money for programs that help kids and families in Niagara County. Homerooms will compete to fill up a container with spare and loose change, and the winning homerooms in each grade will get a donut breakfast. This fundraiser runs from today to Friday, October 11th, and we should do everything we can to help this wonderful organization.

Your Lady Spartan Field hockey team beat Amherst 1-0 yesterday. The lone goal was scored by Lily Laraba with an assist by Molly Zoladz. Brooklyn Dean and Lyla Cantanese helped stop the Tigers from moving down field, and fed the ball to the offense. Goalie Ava Gutillo kept Amherst at bay with a shutout. Great job, Ladies!
Evelyn Ohol and the Lady Spartans golf team finished 6-3 for the season last night with a win over Tonawanda. Evelyn is now qualified to compete in the ECICS championship on October 16th and the sectional match in the spring. Nice job Evelyn!

I chose this position to make sure that there is clear documentation of the Student Council meetings and that there is a good understanding of the plans and events we come up with so that classmates know exactly what is discussed and planned for the school year. I want to work with the other student council officers and the student council to run fundraisers for charities in the community, host fun events for students to feel welcomed and included, and come up with ideas and plans to make this year a great year. Congratulations to the girls modified volleyball team on their win over an undefeated West Seneca West team last night. Claire Taylor, Brooklyn Reynolds, and Lily Lalka served outstanding for the Spartans. Olivia Knoebel, Maddie Wollaber, and Aneah Davison kept us in the game with their stellar defense. Leading the offense was Natalia D’Aloise and Cali Hodge. Great job girls. Come out and support the team as they take on Sweet Home at 5:15 at home.
Tennis super star Raquel Proulx (Proo) tallied up another victory yesterday helping the varsity lady tennis team take another victory versus Will North. She won her 2nd singles match with a 1st set tie break victory 7-6, and then her second set 6-4. Great Job Raquel!!!
Yesterday the boys modified soccer team defeated Williamsville South by a score of 2-1. Dreighton Fowler had a goal and an assist. Matt Mielcarek had a goal and was the offensive player of the game. Jackson Schwallie was the defensive player of the game with 12 saves in goal. Nick Federico, Kaden Geffers, Ben Gotowko, Mason Phipps, Casmir Hamilton and Jack Taylor all played well for the Spartans.

Hi everyone, I wanted to come on today for two very important reasons:
First, October is National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month and our school is getting ready to celebrate kindness, acceptance and inclusion. To start us off, Starpoint will be holding a district wide poster contest for Unity Day. Students and Artists interested in participating can submit a computer or hand-created poster to student services that represents what it means to be kind and inclusive. Students needing help or supplies can stay for 9th period with Ms. Daigle and Ms. Grabowski in room D-22 tomorrow and Monday, October 7th.
Also, Congratulations to our September Shining Star students! The following students were nominated by their teachers for showing empathy. Our school culture is strong because of students like this.
